Back is the way to go Empty
PostSubject: Back is the way to go   Back is the way to go EmptyFri Aug 24, 2012 8:00 pm

((Okaaaaaay guys. So here's what's happened, that we didn't want to RP because we one, had no muse, and two, were lazy. Hehe. SO ANYWAY. Quest members went to Alaska, Alex 'died,' and Ara brutally murdered the ice statue, and broke the spell. So. Yay. They're on their way back home now, on a boat to the west coast, then they're flying back to camp. PM me for questions.))

Septimus lay on the deck of their boat, which was taking them to the West coast. He didn't really see why they couldn't just fly from Alaska to New York, but whatever. They had about 24 hours left on the boat, until they were on land again. Frankly, Sep didn't enjoy the boat, the way it rocked from side to side every moment, how everything was constantly moving. It made him feel sick. He didn't want to be here anymore, he wanted to be back at camp. Away from people to talk to him, in his cabin, all alone. He wished he had his glasses back to normal function, We don't always get what we want, though.

Sep knew this, but it didn't keep him from wishing all of these things. Mostly his glasses. If he had his sunglasses, he probably wouldn't have been minding the ride as much, but Andrew had to break them. He also obviously didn't care, maybe didn't even know about what he'd done. Really no one knew-- besides Sep. Of course Septimus knew. How could he not notice that his most prized possession was broken, lost in memories. He still had them, of course, but they were broken into two pieces. Unusable, worthless, broken. Sort of like Sep himself.

So he just lay there, arms and legs spread, eyes closed, out in the sun. He wore an unzipped, green hoodie, with jeans a gray t-shirt with a blue design on it, and blue and black DC sneakers. In other words, a normal Sep outfit. He sighed, wishing he could lay here forever, and not think about anything. Yet he also wanted to be back at camp, wanted some distractions. As of now, there were none, though, so he settled for laying down outside, somehow still seeing the sun through his closed eyelids. The sun was actually making him... zzz.... zzzzzz...

He awoke an unknown amount of time later. Some sort of sound woke him up, though he was unsure of what it was. Sep jolted upright, and blinked at the now setting sun. Looking to the side of him, he saw a figure there, but his eyes were too blurry from sleep to see who it was...

((This is so crap. And short. hbufbvhio x.x))

Andrew stood on the front of the boat, the waves rocking him back and forth as he was deep in thought. He was thinking about the last week or so how Aphrodite had came, made him fall in love with Clove, then she took it off. Of course, there were side effects, and he asked Arabella out, though that turned to not as he left her immediately realizing he was still meant for Clove. So he had Clove had went out and were all serious and stuff and then there was the dance where Arabella got a quest, several kicks in the nuts, and a drunk Clove. The quest was to destroy the magic put upon him and Clove, so he didn't love her anymore. Of course, him and Clove followed them to Antartica to attempt to stop them, which failed.

Arabella suceeded and he and Clove no longer loved each other, and Andrew couldn't believe what he really had done, and of course, he wanted to get back with Araballa, but she didn't seem to intent on that yet. Andrew hadn't meant to do all of that, it was stupid love magic, and ironically, that was ruining his love life. She still seemed rather upset about it, even though he apologized like a million times. Him and Clove were still on okay terms, though he could tell they were both embarrased by what had happened, at least he thought so. She might secretely hate him, and he would be fine with that, he would hate her back, Andrew had neutral feelings for her at the moment, but something told him it could go either way.

Andrew then turned his back and looked at the ship, they still had less than 24 hours on this thing from Antartica to the west coast, he could live with it though, and throughout all of this, he had to admit, he liked Antartica, it was a nice place, even though it was so desolate and dry and cold. He could only see Septimus, who he wasn't on good terms with he believed, maybe it had to do with him breaking his sunglasses that he was madly in love with weirdly. He was sleeping, so Andrew ignored him for the moment and walked to the inside of the ship and got a Coke from the refrigerator onboard and sat down on the couch and looked around, there was nothing really to do but talk and sleep.

He drank his Coke and decided to take a nap, there was nothing better to do anyways. His dreams were bare he realized when he woke up from his nap then he looked at the clock, 6:24 PM PST. He had slept for 3 hours, he was okay with that though, because there was nothing to do. Andrew yawned and headed towards the door groggily, he might as well head out to look at the ocean before dinner. He wasn't paying attention so he walked into the door, causing some ruckus, and he mumbled, "Ow." So he was still tired and asleep, he better not fall off of the ship.

As he walked out, he noticed 2 things, one it had considerably warmed up, two, Septimus had just woken up, and Andrew realized he had woken him with his running into the door. "Oh, sorry to wake you Septimus, I accidently ran into the door, just really tired." he said, adding, "and I'm sorry about the Clove thing, I hate Aphrodite now and love magic more than ever. And sorry about the sunglasses, I wasn't thinking straight." Andrew hadn't apologized to Sept yet and he realized he probably should, he could tell he liked Clove and that he probably wasn't too happy about all that went on, including the sunglasses. Andrew felt responsible to apologize to him for everything, that is why he added it.

He then walked past Septimus and leaned against the side, looking off to the east. It was a clear, sunny day at this area, obviously south of Alaska, as it had warmed up quite a bit, and they had stopped there earlier. Andrew could barely see land, but he knew it was land, it was obviously the west coast of the United States, just where would they stop for the plane to New York? He didn't know or care, he just wanted to get back, even if it took forever. He just sighed and turned around, noticing all of the quest members, and Clove and him were on the deck now.

He just mentioned, saying, "Off in the distance I can see the west coast." Andrew assumed they had forgiven him and Clove for following them secretly on the quest, it wasn't their fault after all, it was Aphrodite and the love magic, which obviously influenced their thinking, no matter what they thought, it jumbled their thoughts, making them only really care about each other. But that was the past, now he fovused on the present, here and now. He waited for anyone to say something besides him.

((I hope I got all the details right. I probably didn't but if Iscrew anything up just pretend that I got the details correct. Get it? Got it. Good. And what did the ice sculpture have to do with anything? I thought it was some sort of potion…))

As soon as Arabella turned the cornor and immediatly saw Andrew bum into the door waking Sept up. "What the fuck…?" Ara muttered to herself. She just shook her head and began to listen inot the conversation. Andrew apologized for all the crap he put Septimus through. It was about time that he apologized too. Andrew screwed up the quest by breaking Sept's precious sunglasses (Arabella thought the whole sunglasses thing was stupid and that he should have gotten over it and acted like a man) making Sept's leading cofidence hit an all time low. Like usual, Ara had to step in and take over. Luckily she kept the quest moving along. She never had any confidence issues like Sept. he mom was freaking Nike.

"It was about time that you apologized to Sep," Ara said walking up bruit them. It was at he dance when all this shit happened. Ara showed up fashionably late and Sept was claimed. Ara, Andrew, and Clove got into a big fight resulting in a drunk Clove, a pain filled Andrew, and a knocked out Arabella. Plus Septimus' glasses broke. BEST. DANCE. EVER. "So, Andrew. Where's your girlfriend?" Ara teased as she punched Andrew in the arm and winked. She would have said more but didn't want this to turn into the dance. She didn't know if Andrew like her or if she was even able to forgive him. On the positive note, they were finally going home! She was finally able to actually relax. Arabella hated Antarctica. It was always too cold. The thing hat sucked was that she got cold easily. Basically to the point where she was pale and her lips were turning blue. So she was pretty happy that it was staring to get warmer. Another awesome thing was that she basically had ultimate bragging right (as if she didn't already).

Since it was getting a bit warm, Ara wore a shirt that was actually kept clean, this random long, knitted, jacket thing that she had stolen from this Eskimo lady, extra jeans that she packed, and snow boots that she had also stolen from another random Eskimo after her's got destroyed. She hated how everything didn't match but she was just going to have to suck it up and deal with it.

Ara noticed that all of the quest members where there. Andrew comented on the west coast. "I dunno if it's the west coast or the east coast. I fail at geography. Is that even the right term?" She said in response to Andrew's comment. "You know it really sucks that Alex died. Even though he was the son of Aphrodite," Ara said breaking the silence, "I call making and burning his shroud though!"

((Guys. Sorry this sucks. I wrote this out on my iPod and it crashed three times do it was suppose to be way longer than this.))

Back is the way to go Empty
PostSubject: Re: Back is the way to go   Back is the way to go EmptyWed Sep 12, 2012 2:25 pm

Clove was sitting somewhere up higher than all the others. Sleepy heads they all were. What good was sleep for a strong gang member as Clove? Nothing! Oh no, Clove wasn’t just going to lay down and take a nice little nap. Clove was going to stay up and (for some unknown reason) look at Septimus while he was having nap-time. Oh yeah, just perfect! Clove didn’t know why but she was fascinated as she watched Septimus sleep. He was like her, street rat and more than a little adept at survival. Right now, he wasn’t doing such a good job. He was being all unhappy and depressed and that made Clove unhappy, though not depressed like him. She knew it was the sunglasses, broken in pieces. For a person who lived on the streets a single possession could be a lot more valuable than a roof above your head when falling asleep (what was proven by the fact he fell asleep on a boat without any trouble). Clove smiled as she watched the sleeping Septimus for quite some time. He looked a lot more peaceful when he wasn’t awake and mourning those lovely (and very much hateable) glasses.

Clove was still slightly curious as to why the boat had been so far away from the usual sites to take on passengers. Still, it had been rather handy they’d been able to signal it over to get a ride. The boat itself turned out to be a lot less happy with her as a passenger. She’d been throwing knives around and the crew didn’t like that… a lot. After convincing them she was merely practising for this awesome upcoming movie (and they couldn’t prove her wrong) they had allowed her to keep throwing knives at the wall. Clove could almost see them wince at the sounds of knives entering the walls with a dull thud. Clove grinned as she imagined their faces. Lovely. On the less positive side, she might have to make those nitwits and the street rat run with her when they hit land. She had the fullest faith in Septimus and doubtlessly Arabella wouldn’t refuse if she turned it into a competition but within all honesty, she didn’t mind losing Andrew somewhere along the way.

Andrew made her nervous after all. He and she had been in sort of love. It made Clove uneasy and that usually meant she just stuck a knife in him to fix the problem. Not really to kill the unease, just to show she didn’t really like being uneasy. To stab Andrew probably wasn’t such a good idea. So Clove had accepted it and now tried very hard not to accidently throw a knife at him. Her (un)natural instincts weren’t all that easy to control. She heard some racket from below her and instinctively pulled on the necklace her father had given her, making a scythe appear. Why the scythe? Clove had no clue, she just felt like it. The moment Andrew showed up, Clove rolled her eyes and got rid of the scythe again. Her eyes looked at Septimus again, who had woken up.

Andrew went on to apologize to Septimus for various things. Not just waking him up but breaking his glasses, falling in love with her and all the other stuff that he’d put him through. Still, Clove didn’t get why their being in love (sort of) was so important to Septimus but she didn’t know if he knew. The destruction of his sunglasses had changed so much that Clove didn’t exactly know what was on his mind and what parts of that involved her in any way. So Clove just watched him from a distance, usually. Looking down she saw Arabella join the small group and Clove knew that counted as crowded for any place where somebody had just woken up. She was about to crowd it up when she heard Arabella’s question. His girlfriend aye? Well, as far as Clove knew, he didn’t have one anymore. She didn’t remember officially breaking up but she was pretty sure that Andrew knew they weren’t a couple anymore. They didn’t even love after all, Arabella herself had made sure of that. So Clove quickly threw a knife into the floor boards in the middle of the neat little group and jumped down after it with a nice grin on her face. “Well I suppose that depends. Either he doesn’t have one or she arrived just before I officially did.” Clove said and casually picked her knife up and went to sit down beside Septimus.

With a long yawn and a nice stretch she turned to face the quest members and her ex-boyfriend. She looked at the supposed west coast or east coast or whatever coast. She sighed deeply. “Who cares which coast it is. It’s dry land which means we should be packing. You’ll find that people are always more than eager to see me off while not being so happy when greeting me. If they do another one of those annoying back up checks nobody is going to like being around me. If you don’t want to run all the way back to camp with the cops on your heels, you’ll be sure to walk off the boat the moment you can. No detours, no distractions.” Clove said and started removing the dirt from under her nails with one of her knives. They knew they could decide to leave Clove behind but Clove doubted Chiron would like that a lot. Apparently, Clove needed to learn a thing or two about normal behaviour before she was allowed to go back to her bad habits. If only he could see her gang, he’d know that such a thing would never ever happen. That was about as likely as all of them waiting for her when she got back from the quest. Naturally they’d all be carrying flowers and chocolates around and Glamour would have suddenly lost her bee and wasp allergy. As she’d said, never going to happen.

With a big sigh Clove turned to Arabella who had mentioned Alex’s death. It was a cruel thing but Clove couldn’t care less about a person who’d died. It was normal, sad and you cried at the funeral. The end. “Whatever you want. I don’t think I’d be the right person for that anyway.” Clove said with a shrug, vaguely feeling like there was something about the son of Aphrodite she should remember. Something to do with the dance… When nothing jumped to mind she disregarded it. “So what’s next?” She asked Arabella, as she liked the attitude of the girl a lot better now she wasn’t busy being infatuated with Andrew. She could have her own serious lack of judgement but this time it seemed like it was Arabella’s turn. Clove didn’t mind, she was just glad she wasn’t with Mr. Wrong anymore. Yet a small part of her hoped that Septimus would wake up and try to be Mr So-Much-More-Right for her.

((Totally not trying to write a long reply, uh-uh! I'd never ever do such a thing Very Happy Right?))

((Sorry it took a few days... gbjrlhbk people have been wanting me to write so much more stuff X_X))

Sep blinked a few times, before the fuzzy shape before him became someone he recognized. Andrew. Urgh, couldn't he just, like, jump off the boat and freeze to death or something? Everything would be so much happier then. Sadly, Septimus did not posses the power to randomly make people fall off boats and die, so he had to settle for listening to him-- not that he actually cared about anything the younger boy had to say. He didn't really care about any of the questers, though he was a little bit sad that Alex had died. It was Sep's fault, after all, and he should at least feel a little bad for the boy. The number of Alexes Sep knew that were dead because of him: two.

Sep lay back down, but this time on his stomach. Then he buried his face in his arms, the world becoming black once again. Sadly, though, Sep could still hear. "Go die in a hole, why don't you?" he mumbled to himself, as Andrew apologized for what he'd done. Sep just tried to block out all of the sounds of Ara approaching and her and Andrew talking about Andrew's girlfriend. It was as if Sep wasn't there, and frankly, he liked it that way. He didn't want to be included in there conversation. Actually, he may as well get up now, and just leave. He was about to, when another person came into the picture. Well, not a person at first, but a knife. And knives meant that Clove was around.

Sep stayed after she picked up her knife, sitting near him. He still hadn't looked, but he could hear her sitting down. She didn't even know which coast it was. Gods, Septimus was surrounded by two idiots, and one person he hated. Great. Just great.

... They didn't even know that the Aphrodite cabin would be making his shroud. Agh, Sep wanted to leave, but something forced him to stay. He didn't know what, but there was something pushing him to not get up and leave. So instead, he just mumbled, "I am surrounded by idiots," and stayed where he was, right next to Clove, surrounded by a bunch of morons.

((Blame my sister for the shortness and suckiness >.<))
