Clove had stormed right out of the Ares cabin. Seriousl, were all of her siblings idiots? Could they not see she was clearly more lethal? Buch of stuck up little brats they were. Clove knew they didn't have a past quite as good as hers, they weren't as tough as she was, they weren't even mildly impressive. They were just bullies, and not even good ones at that. They hadn't even managed to impress Clove a little, although they were very eager to try. She, as cabin leader, was the standard it seemed. It annoyed Clove that they weren't creative enough, although she probably wasn't that much better. The only thing Clove was really creative with were her knives.

With a sigh, Clove looked around the cabin Area for a bit. She sat on the egde of the little fountain in the middle of the cabin area and stared into the water when she was a face reflecting back at her. Clove looked up, her mind already on intimidation. The boy was taken aback but still tried to flirt with her. Clove was done with random guys she didn't even know checking her out. First the mess with Andrew, now she was worrying about her feelings about Septimus running away and even Alex had checked her out. Now this guy. Clove was fed up with that and stood up and punched him into the face, hearing and feeling a nice crush. The boy rand off and Clove smiled with all the wickedness in the world, happy.

Yet she couldn't shake the fact that she was misplaced at camp. She kept running into trouble, boys and otherwise. Perhaps camp just wasn't right for her. She belonged on the streets, with Meatcleaver and her gang. Clove pulled out her favorite knive, the knife she'd gotten from Meatcleaver. With a sigh she remembered how happy she'd been, getting it. It had been the first time she'd remembered, she had only had happy thoughts, no sorrow or sadness. It was her finest memory, the best she had by far.

Clove instantly got up and walked away from the cabin area and headed for the strawberry fields. She needed Meatcleaver back, there was no doubt. She needed Meatcleaver, Glamour, Johnnyboy and Brawler back. She started running and stopped at the edge of the fields. She was a bit panicked. She had tried to run twice before but the Gods seemed to be against it. At first a Hydra, next chloroform. Somehow Clove was afraid it wouldn't work out again this time.

She saw a shape moving and jumped behind a pile of rocks. If she just waited long enough they'd surely disappear again. She just had to wait, patiently and hope Septimus wouldn't realise she was gone in the mean time. Yes, that was a plan. She was so close! Just a little more, only a little. She sat, very nervous listening to every noise, hoping to hear footsteps fading. She waited for what seemed like forever but she didn't hear the footsteps fading, Clove feared they were coming closer and pretended to be relaxed, and started sharpening her knives to keep busy. She hadn't done that for a while anyway, it needed doing.

Sophie was hunched over a table in the Athena cabin, preparing a new strategy for Capture the Flag. Ever since she'd gotten claimed, she had been in high demand for teams, since Athena was a war goddess and a strategist. Sophie had inherited some of that, so she found herself inside a lot, planning new ideas. She hadn't been outside for a while. Her schedule had been wake-up, eat, plan, lunch, more planning, dinner, chores, sleep. Not that she didn't like that, but she needed to at least keep up the illusion that she had a life. So she put down the pencil, stretched, and went into the bathroom to get changed.

After Sophie had dressed herself in her usual outfit-a white t-shirt, faded jeans, sandals, and her owl necklace- she headed outside. She had put her blond hair in a ponytail, so it wouldn't fall in her face, and distract her. She had ADHD for that. She paused outside the cabin. Where should she go? After a mini-debate with herself, Sophie decided to go to the strawberry fields, where she could get relaxation, and fresh air. She had packed a bag with her IPod, book on Greek myths (she was still a daughter of Athena), and some chocolate, which she found was a good brain stimulant for her. With this in hand, she headed towards the strawberry fields, walking slowly, and trying not to drag her feet.

The sun was shining, it was a nice day. Sophie walked along, her mind on a million different things. She wasn't looking where she was going, and she bumped into people a few times. They gave her a few weird looks, but continued on their way. Sophie didn't really care. It wasn't that she liked shoving, she just wasn't focusing on them right now. After some time of doing this, she finally made it to the fields, where Sophie then proceeded to walk along, looking for a good spot to stop, sit down, and read. Of course, that didn't happen.

Sophie heard something as she walked through the rows of strawberries. She looked around, finally foucsing on her surroundings, but she didn't see anybody. She had either imagined it, or they were hiding. "Hello?" she called out, as if expecting someone to actually answer her. She frowned, and shouldered her bag. What had made that noise?

She heard another noise again, the scraping of something on metal. She whirled around, trying to locate the source of the noise. There were some rocks scattered around, maybe someone had hidden there, thinking she was a monster. The noise continued as Sophie got closer, and she became nervous. Maybe this thing was a monster, waiting to attack. With that thought, Sophie pulled on her owl charm, and watched as it became a dagger. Good. At least she wasn't defenseless now.

Sophie steadied her breathing, and walked around the rocks quickly, getting ready to swing her weapon. What she found surprised her. It was another demigod, someone Sophie reconginized. Her name was...Cate? Candy? No, Clove. Sophie didn't really know her well. They had been on the same team for Capture the Flag once, as Clove was the cabin leader for Ares, the other war god. Sophie breathed a sigh of relief, and lowered her dagger, but kept it out. She knew how moody the Ares kids could be.

"What're you doing here? I thought you were a monster. You didn't have to hide," Sophie said, all in a rush. She had a bad habit of doing that, not giving the other person a chance to answer. So she slowed down. "You can come out now, I don't bite," Sophie offered, backing up a step. She wondered why Clove was here, and why she was hiding. She looked about ready to run. So Sophie spoke again. "What are you doing here?" she asked. She hated not knowing things. This time, she paused, and waited for Clove to answer her many questions.

((hope it wasn't too bad))

Arty was in desperate need for new recruits. She was suspecting the Aphrodite kids were bribing all the girls not to join, or something along those lines. Of course, they wanted every single girl to fall in love with that perfect guy, then cruelly break them apart, and laugh. Being a hunter messed all of that up, it made sure you didn't date. If you did, depending on how old you were, you'd die, though Artemis didn't like to dwell on that. It was a sad day whenever a huntress went against the oath, though there were few instances like that.

Artemis was really worried about this generation's children, and what would happen when none of them joined. All they were interested in now was in make up and boys. She didn't understand why, because if you were a huntress you were immortal, didn't have to worry about drama, had fun, and were just plain awesome! What girl didn't want that?

Arty had decided to wander through the strawberry fields, looking for them. Well, not them. Not anyone in particular, just someone who looked like... Artemis didn't know. She just knew what a hunter looked like. Artemis had been doing this nearly forever (literally), and knew what girls looked like they'd had boy troubles, or just plain looked like they would be a good hunter.

Soon enough, after walking around for a while, Artemis came across a girl standing over... a pile of rocks? Talking to them? Artemis couldn't hear what she was saying, but it looked like a really... interesting sight. Besides, the girl looked like she could be a huntress... you know, if she wasn't insane. If she was, that would be... a minor problem.

She walked over there, and saw another girl there. The first girl wasn't insane, then... well all for the better! Hey, the second girl looked like she could be a huntress, too... maybe a two-in-one? Except... the second girl looked as if she was running from camp, hiding behind rocks. "Hello, ladies. How are you today?"

((Sorry for shortness...))

Clove looked at the other girl for a moment, still sharpening the dagger she was working on. "I wasn't hiding. I'm relaxing." Clove lied. Why did people always have to interrupt her attempts to leave? It was seriously starting to irritate Clove. She always ran from her problems, why couldn't she just do the same thing now? Clove just kept sharpening her knife, even though the slightest touch was almost enough to be sliced open by it. She sighed and changed knives, sharpening another one. She could do about fifteen more before she ran out of things to sharpen. After that she could try needles or something like that.

Soon, however it was obvious that Sophie wasn't the only person lurking between the strawberries. The only reason that Clove had to suspect the other girl wasn't what she seemed was the same yet different feeling she'd had when Aphrodite joined her on the hil and her father in the big housel. It was power and energy merged into a being that everybody would call divine. If Clove wasn't completely wrong, she had just met another Goddess. Well holy joy! Clove wondered what this one wanted to do to her, her ever suspicious nature taking hold of her.

"I think Sophie there would like to argue to you that I am anything but a lady, she's seen me eat." Clove said, attempting a joke to lighten her own mood. If the Goddess didn't like a joke, well, she'd just be blasted, wouldn't she? Clove stood up, no attempts to be charming on her part. "It's a pleasure to meet you, my lady." She said and bowed respectfully. No need to try and make another Goddess angry with her, she figured one was bad enough already.

Clove didn't want to sound like a whining child but she seriously just wanted to get out of this horrible place and right now two beings weren't helping with that. "I really don't mean to be rude or anything but if we can just say what we want and get that over with, I'd be thrilled. I have some plans for the day and I can't really be delayed." She said, shifting nervously. She suspected Septimus was watching her every move, doing anything to avoid her escape. Even though the game itself was fun, it wasn't what she needed now. She needed to actually escape. Maybe she should knock Septimus out once and run away at that point, it would make it harder for him to follow her. In that case she could actually get back to her old friends.

With a sigh that was hardly noticable, she remembered her friends and wondered where they were. Summer was approaching and they'd gone on various holidays in the past. They would get harder and harder to track as summer progressed. If she didn't go now, she might not be able to find them for a long time again. She had a very small window to get to them and it was closing rapidly...

Sophie asked her questions, all in a rush. Clove replied that she was just relaxing. Yeah, right. You couldn't lie to a daughter of Athena. Behind the rocks, trying not to make a noise, in traveling clothes? Especially when there were a million other places to relax, but Sophie didn't question that. She stopped trying to figure out why the Ares kids did what they did a long time ago. It would give anyone a headache trying to figure that out.

Before Sophie could say anything, however, another girl came up. Sophie didn't recongnize her, but that wasn't saying much. Sophie hardly new anybody. Sophie bit her lip, to stop from laughing, when Clove replied. She had seen Clove eat, like a wild animal. She smiled. "Well, you know, hunger makes people do desperate things," Sophie said, trying not to sound sarcastive. Needless to say, she failed. "Although, Clove, I've never seen a lady act the same way as her dog," she amended, hoping Clove's knives weren't too sharp. What Clove said next confused her. My lady? What was she talking about? This was just a girl...oh.

Clove had bowed, and Sophie followed her lead. Wouldn't want to go upsetting any goddess' now. After figuring that out, it wasn't too hard to figure out what goddess would be here, in that form, for what reason. "Lady Artemis," Sophie said, after she'd come up from her bow. Now that that was cleared up, the reason she had come was fairly obvious too. She was about to ask what Artemis wanted, just to confirm, although she was sure she was right, when Clove spoke again.

Plans for the day? Sophie raised an eyebrow. "And would those plans possibly involve leaving camp?" She asked, trying not to sound sarcastic, again. This time, it came out fairly sincere, although Sophie didn't even need to ask. She knew what the answer would be, Clove couldn't really be any more obvious. Sophie decided to adress Artemis, since she wasn't sure what mood the goddess was in today.

"Um...I know why you're here..." Sophie began, her voice trailing off a couple times. She cleared her throat. Be concise, she told herself. She was putting the pieces together in her head, now she just needed to figure out how to respond to the puzzle. Besides, Sophie didn't imagine herself hunting or anything, she liked being behind the planning table, figuring out what needed to be hunted.

She wasn't sure how to say this, though. She didn't want to outright reject the offer, but she didn't want to accept either. She just wanted to politely refuse, go back to the cabin, and read. Was that too much to ask? Well, it appears that when you're a demigod, yes, it is. Sophie shifted from foot to foot, and crossed her arms, just to give them something to do. She waited for someone to speak, so she'd be saved the embarrasment. She was still a bit curious on where Clove was planning to go outside of camp, and why Artemis had selected them here and now. Hopefully gods couldn't read minds. Although, with Sophie's luck, they probably could.
