Something wicked this way comes

Clove was running, she was free from whatever she'd just left behind, or so she thought for the first few meters when she ran in exaltation. She soon heard footsteps following and Clove cursed her mother for making her a short girl, she could run extremely fast, fast enough to outrun the cops but other streetrunners? Not the fast ones and she knew that only one person could be chasing her, the one that wanted her dead. Clove tried to speed up but she knew it was no use, she only managed to outrun him a little longer but in th end he caught up with her. That was very obvious because one moment she was runnig and the next he crashed into her, forcing her to the ground and pinning her to the ground. She struggled to break free but he had hr helpless, not a good feeling. She had to remind herself that her old friends were not with her and she managed to stop her scream for help from the one person she cared most for in the world, the head of her old gang.

Clove stared up at Septimus with sad and accusing eyes. She was convinced he was going to kill her, no matter what he said. She was waiting for it, midly curious as to how he would finish her. He didn't seem to happy while he should be, he was about to take out one of he members of te mast hated gang in the country. She thought of the nickname they had given her, Dagger Death. She just didn't want one of her own daggers to kill her. "Just get it over with." She yelled at him but he was distracted and soon she saw worry, perhaps even fear. He got her back on her feet and pushed her away from the monster standing there. Clove had seen her fair share of monsters but never had she seen something like this. Her mind screamed at her to remember. Hydra, cut of a head, two more grow back. Perfect thing to add to her list of things she didn't like about today, although she'd rather face this thing three times than meet Aphrodite ever again.

"Well, somebody must really not want me here." Clove noted dryly. "Perhaps Zeus hates me, or my father doesn't like what happened to mom. I could say I'm sorry but that would be a lie." She told all six of the heads. She made a mentel count of all her knives, endin with a total of six daggers and 16 small throwing knives that wouldn't do too much harm. Clove held her dagger in one hand and took a throwing knife in the other, which she flung toward one of the legs of the creature. The knife all but disappeared into the flesh of the monster, where it's foot flowed into the leg. Clove threw another knife, which landed in one of the twelve eyes. The monster at that point decided it didn't really like her. One of the heads flew toward her to bit her to pieces but Clove managed to jump out of the way, thrwoing one of her knives into the opened mouth while another lodged itself between to of the monsters ribs. She was new but fighting wasn't new to her, which turned out to be a good thing.

Not able to pay enough attention to each and every head, she didn't see another head untill it slammed into her, sending her flying backwards, giving her a couple of bruised, if not broken, ribs. "Go to hell!" She shouted when she had regained enough air. It almost seemed ironic that her mother had always said she wouldn't die in a fight, her mother claimed she'd die by something she'd consider silly, like rocks or diseases, falling out of trees, those things. For the first time since her mother had said that Clove doubted it. It seemed very likely her mother had been wrong...

"Yeah, I'm going to go save Clove from her imminent death out there. Bye." Septimus said, Andrew responded as he ran off, "Well then, good luck, but don't have a cross country runner do it..." He had a strange feeling he might need his weapons, so he put his helmet back on and drew his bow and knocked 3 arrows, he had found out that as an Apollo kid he could shoot several arrows at a time, which was a needed ability. He also had a fire arrow that could come in handy. He watched as the boy tackled Clove, then jumped up when he saw something. Out of a tree line a hydra came into view. He knew that in order to kill a hydra you had to kill it by cutting off it's head and burning the stump. He ran down the hill to help while rapidly shooting arrows with flawless aim at it's heads.

Andrew yelled at those nearby, "Remember! Cutting off a head regrows 2 back unless you burn it. I have fire arrows, so I need you to cut it's heads off and I'll shoot them, just don't get hit by the acid!" Andrew knew that they would have to work together, no matter how much they hated it. This hydra had 6 heads. He eventually stood right next to it and drew his sword and slid under it's belly, slicing it open. He popped up on the other side and swung his sword at it's back leg cutting it off, making it stumble. All 6 heads turned towards him, and he knew they hated him. His instincts screamed at him to run, but he stayed there and yelled, "YOU HAVE TO CUT OFF IT'S HEADS NOW! IT IS OUR ONLY CHANCE! ONE AT A TIME!" He sheathed his sword and pulled out his bow, and readied his fire arrows, when he shot, they would catch on fire, he had exactly six of them, one shot for each head, good thing he was Apollo's son. He got one ready and aimed at a head, ready to shoot it so it would have 5 heads and eventually none if they worked together and didn't die before they killed it.

Okay, okay. Let's put a pause on all of this. Let's have a recap, shall we? Clove was thinking Sep was trying to kill her, the guy on the hill, was running towards them, shooting arrows, giving them advice to cut off the heads, and a giant hydra with six heads was attacking them. Oh, joy. This was just turning out to be an awesome day, wasn't it?

Well, what else was Sep supposed to do, besides following the guy's advice? He was right, the only way to kill a hydra was burn the stumps of the heads.... or so Sep thought. He'd heard a myth every once in a while, and didn't really pay attention in lessons. He knew he should, but it was just so boring!

This still ringing in his head, Sep jumped at one head, which tried to eat him. Instead, he hung onto it's neck, and cut off the head, hoping the guy would shoot the stump. Sep jumped off, and tried to regain his bearings. Now what was he supposed to do? The same thing?

Clove had gotten to her feet but was slightly distressed at what Andrew said. How in the world was she supposed to decapitate the heads with nothing but a dagger? She could try, surely but she already knew it wouldn't work. So Clove got herself back together, ignoring the pain in her ribs and grabbed another one of her knives. Where to throw? She comtemplated the idea for a little while and decided on what was probably the most stupid thing she had done in her life. She ran around to the back of the monster and jumped on the tail, pinning it to the ground with one of her knives. Not that it was any use at all in the fight, it did make the hydra rather angry. Clove turned around with an evil grin, seeing three heads staring at her. She held her ground, staying on the tail untill one of them decided to spit acid on her.

Clove rolled away, making the acid burn into the tail of the monster and her shoes, who were gone just a moment late. She quickly kicked them off and managed to keep the acid off her feet. "Well behead them somebody?" She asked irritated and slightly desparate. "I don't know about you guys but I'm not the best at dagger decapitation. The necks are a little bit thick for that." She didn't add her thought in, which was something alone the lines off; 'just like your skulls are.' Clove was now running from the acid rain and not to happy about who ever decided to invent those horrible monsters. She just ran, although not away, she could always consider that again when the thing was dead, if it would die that was. The girl was tired and this did nothing to help her mood. "Why couldn't you just send an easy monster after us? Why did it have to be one where the heads need to be cut off? Seriously, as if something else wouldn't have been bad enough." She shouted at the sky, earning her some more attention from the hydra. Well hell

Andrew watched as the boy who he did not know his name chopped off one head. In response Andrew quickly took aimed and fired. When he shot the arrowhead blazed to life and hit the target, the head stump. perfectly. The fire burned the stump so two heads couldn't grow back. Andrew quickly drew another fire arrow and readied himself for another shot. "Go ahead and get the next head!" he shouted at them.

How could he be so stupid? Clove had a dagger and that wouldn't help her at all, though he watched as 3 of the remaining 5 heads swung towards her after she stabbed it in the tail. "Clove, stop that! You are just making it angrier, let's try not to make unnecessary wounds on it because that angers it and makes it harder to kill." he said, then he got an idea, he set his bow down and drew his sword and tossed it at Clove, "Here, use this! I can shoot 2 heads before they regrow back in time." They had to work together if this was going to work out. He then picked up his bow again and readied himself to shoot and quickly grab another arrow to shoot a 2nd head, he secretly doubted that he could get 2 heads quick enough, but it was worth the try. Clove was now shouting random things about easier monsters and stuff, she needed to pay more attention to the fight then yelling at the gods, plus it gained more attention of the hydra and another head swung around.
