Unclaimed Greek Demigod
Orlando was born on the 5th of December, 1993. He was born to Kyle Johnson but never knew his mother and until he was seven, he was just like any other boy. Yet in his seventh year, disaster struck the young boy, killing both his father in a robbery. The police tried to place Orlando in an orphanage but he escaped, vowing revenge on his father’s killers. He also tried to find his mother, never succeeding. He lived on the streets for a long time, with nobody to run to. He managed after finding a tavern where many thieves and other rejects of society gathered. They taught him the tricks of the various trades and trained him to survive on the streets. He worked for these people until one event at the age of 10 changed his life yet again. The tavern burned down and barely any inside had survived. Orlando suspected the police had done this and he instantly formed an eternal grudge against authority. The young boy fled to another city, where he met two children of around his own age. These two children were Marlinde and Marvel. The twins were disgustingly rich and had a bit of a cruel streak. They hated their adoptive parents and their rich parties and all that. In silent rejection the two spend a lot of time on the streets, stealing and making as much trouble as they could. When they met Orlando, an instant bond formed between the three young kids. Marlinde and Marvel weren’t too happy that Orlando refused to give them his name and so they just avoided his name all together. One day, the three friends were out and about when a golden opportunity arose for Orlando. The robber that had killed his father was around. Marvel, being a huge fan of movies that held extreme violence, had gotten Orlando one of the replica swords his parents had bought for him. Orlando used this sword with an extreme brutality, cleaving the head of the man open and hacking into his dying body. Marvel and Marlinde, slightly shocked by this, demanded an explanation. Orlando explained it all, shaking from the thing he had just done. Marvel and Marlinde needed only one look at each other to decide they would flee their home and join this boy on the streets. They named him Meatcleaver, for his first kill. After several months with his new friends, they learned his actual name but the habit of calling him Meatcleaver was already there. Marlinde, who had nothing against the streets, still kept up her rich kid style of clothes and all that. The boys jokingly called her Glamour, a name she adopted with pride. Deciding Marvel needed another name they thought John would be nice, after Meatcleavers last name. Marvel objected, not wanting a normal name when they both had a peculiar nickname. Jokingly, Glamour had called him Johnnyboy, thus giving him a nickname he could live with. When Orlando turned twelve, another member joined their little gang after a particularly gruesome barfight. They had called the girl Brawler and she, never having had a name before, adopted it along with her new family. Yet Brawler was silent and not all that open. Surely, she talked and joked with them but she was nervous. This all changed when they met a young boy of about seven. Brawler took care of him instantly, becoming like a parent. The child had extremely curly red hair, earning him the nickname Curly. Nobody said anything about it, but Brawler was the closest thing to a mother this child would ever have. They were happy, Curly turned eight and Meatcleaver turned 13. One more member joined their group at that point. He was their age and his name was Peter. He stuck with the friends for a week, not long enough for them to think up a nickname for him yet. They didn’t know if they could trust him, unlike they had acted toward each other, nobody really was ready to accept him in. Only Curly wouldn’t stay away from him and he strayed around Peter as much as he could, getting Brawler to know the boy quite well. After that week the boy turned the friends in with the police but luckily Brawler had seen his plan and had taken them to another location. Curly, very much upset by the loss of his favourite male, went looking for Peter and ended up dead. Brawler and the others chased Peter for one more week, until they found him. Meatcleaver tied him up in an empty building and guided Glamour and Johnnyboy out, leaving Brawler alone with Peter. They did stay close and heard every scream Peter gave before he died from the pain. It had been a very successful couple of days if you asked Brawler. The group made a pact not to speak of it again and moved on. Time passed, Glamour and Johnnyboy turned thirteen and Brawler still didn’t know anything about her past. The only thing that changed about her was a fierce desire to kill anybody who wanted to join their group. For a while they were with four but one evening things would change again. The group was a lot harder and less likely to take on new members and they had started with their wicked hobbies that hadn’t been practised with fun before. The had picked up a newspaper that morning, interested in the front page that had the picture of a young girl with a wicked smile. For once interested in other people again, the four friends read the newspaper full of interest. This girl, eleven years old had attacked her mother with a knife and had fled the scene. She was wanted by the police for questioning. Even Brawler seemed interested and they decided to see if they could find this girl and so they travelled around, not managing to find her. One day they had been out in the city, camped out in the woods for the night. Brawler had gotten herself a reputation of tavern brawler. She got halfway down to drunk on stolen beers and started fights to get kicked out of every single tavern. When she couldn’t get in anywhere, the group moved on. Brawler still had about five taverns to crash before they headed out again. Glamour and Johnnyboy decided to go out shopping for a little bit, which in their case just mean picking pockets. They all split up when Brawler decided to crash another tavern. Johnnyboy and Glamour had been arguing and had only stopped so Glamour could say goodbye to Brawler and ask what time she’d be in. Meatcleaver had gone about the streets, trying to find out what the gangs who had their territory here were up to. Naturally he’d run into another solo member of a rival gang, as he tended to do quite often and they had gotten into a fight. Meatcleaver, who always carried the sword he’d made his first kill with, had managed to defend himself from the attacker with the knife quite well, only having a minor cut on his face. At least, he called it minor. He made his way back to the hideout, leaving the other guy to bleed to death if he didn’t run to some sort of safety. When Meatcleaver arrived at their hideout, he’d found the girl they’d seen on the newspaper. He’d introduced himself and asked for her name. They waited in silence for the rest to return, except for Brawler, who would be out and about until quite late. Meatcleaver was fascinated by the little girl, who didn’t say much. He didn’t show interest though, he just waited for his pack members. Johnnyboy and Glamour had arrived, arguing as always and Glamour had started stitching him up, noticing he didn’t have his feet on the ground. She’d taken one look at the new girl and instantly knew what had happened to their once so ferocious leader. Even at thirteen, Glamour knew the ways of love. Meatcleaver was interested in this girl and so she found him a perfectly good excuse to keep her close. She did need protection and the only person Brawler would listen to was Meatcleaver, the unchallenged leader. He needed to protect the young one from Brawler. Glamour had taken the girl aside and had gotten to know Clove, who she named Daggerdeath.
Meatcleaver is a damaged person in all aspects of the word. His mind and body carry the scars of his violent past but he doesn't view them with any regrets. Meatcleaver is proud of all the things he has done in his life and most of all, doesn't regret anything at all. Despite his many failings, which we shall get to later, Meatcleaver is fiercely loyal and very good at defending those he cares for, even though his methods are a bit unusual. It is often said that Meatcleaver is a cruel monster that takes pride and pleasure in the pain he causes others, and nothing could be more true. Meatcleaver, along with his gang, enjoy spending their time on cutting people to pieces, robbing places, stealing things and many other things the law doesn't like much, including murder. Meatcleaver himself is extremely easy to anger and has no trouble with taking lives when he sees the need to. Meatcleaver, apart from his anger management issues, is also extremely proud. He doesn't admit his mistakes easily unless it is to his pack members. He is a good leader and is respected by his pack, not feared. Meatcleaver doesn't have many weaknesses as he is willing to let nearly everybody die for the survival of him and his pack, although they would each let the others die for their own lives. There is only one person Meatcleaver might be willing to give his life for, but it's suspected he would never admit his true feelings to anybody at all. Meatcleaver also has the habit to judge people only on their odds of living on the streets and if those are too small, he will never respect them. Meatcleaver lives by the rules of the streets alone and will never changes his ways.
Meatcleaver is a handsome young lad, although covered in scars that are both emotianal and physical. Most of his scars, however, are on his body and his face is free of the damage. He has dirty blonde hair and a body most guys would kill for, if not for the scars. His eyes are blue and he's 6'2". He doesn't smile often and hardly ever shows joy. His expression and body have hardened by the years he spent on the streets. He usually walks around in army style pants, a red t-shirt and jacket and he always carries the sword he used to avenge his father around with him. It is one of his most prized possesions and he wields it well and with pride.
